Taoiseach: Yes vote will ‘lift the mood of the nation’

IN an upbeat message Taoiseach Brian Cowen hailed the victory for the Yes camp as a moment to lift the mood of the nation.

He said the people’s decision to support the treaty would set the tone for the economic battles on NAMA and the budget.

And, he said, it will help voters believe the country’s destiny is in their own hands.
