Energy bills to fall by at least 10%

ENERGY bills will look a little less intimidating from now on as the price cuts in gas and electricity prices came into effect yesterday.

The 10% cut in gas will see average bills dropping from €924 last year to €737.

According to Bord Gáis, the latest reduction will mean average gas prices will be 22% below the price of a typical bill in October 2006.
