Boost for Taoiseach as poll shows rise in FF support

BELEAGUERED Taoiseach Brian Cowen got a minor boost last night when a new opinion poll showed Fianna Fáil recovering some support and his own approval ratings increasing.

Both the party and Mr Cowen were humiliated at the start of the month when a TNS MRBI opinion poll showed Fianna Fáil at an all-time low of just 17% and the Taoiseach’s own approval ratings at just 15%.

Satisfaction with the Government was even lower at 11%.
