Smoke without fire for Ryanair flights

THERE is smoke without fire but only on Ryanair flights following the introduction of a novel nicotine fix for frequently frustrated flyers.

The popular airline, which has introduced many unique business features over the years, has come up with a first in commercial aviation, its own in-flight cigarettes.

The company discovered, in a marketing survey, that thousands of its regular customers wanted to have a smoke while in the air.

So, all Ryanair had to do was come up with a plan which did not run foul of the legislation which, since the 90s, prohibits smoking on commercial flights.

Ryanair’s Smokeless Cigarettes, which per pack do not cost the equivalent of your average semi-detached home, have been launched “to ensure passengers get their required nicotine hit without breaking the law by “lighting up” onboard their aircraft,” Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said.

The smokeless cigarettes look and feel just like the real thing, without the smoke, that is.

The cigarettes don’t have to be lit up and deliver a small amount of nicotine through inhalation.

The company will make them available to passengers over 18 years of age and the smokeless smokes will be sold in packs of 10 onboard all Ryanair flights for just €6.

The Ryanair cigarettes contain “no toxins or chemicals and are harmless to the user and to those around them,” the spokesman said.

“Ryanair’s smokeless cigarettes deliver a similar level of nicotine to traditional cigarettes. As these cigarettes are smokeless they cause no discomfort to other passengers and can ensure a more enjoyable and stress free flight for all passengers as non-smokers will no longer have to cope with moody smokers in need of nicotine,” Mr McNamara said.
