Nothing simple in bland launch full of official-speak

BRIAN Cowen did his best to insist yesterday that the second Lisbon treaty vote was not about him.

Asked if another no vote would have implications for his own political future or that of his Government, he responded: “I don’t believe this is about the future of this Government or it’s about the future of personalities – this is about the future of the country.”
