Pharmacies threatened with courts by HSE

THE HSE has warned pharmacies breaching their contracts to stop breaking the law or face legal challenge.

The move comes following yesterday’s High Court decision to extend an injunction against 35 pharmacies in the Hickey and Bradley Pharmacy group which has forced them to remain open and continue dispensing drugs.

The HSE claims the pharmacies failed to give the required 30 days’ notice. The injunction hearing will resume on September 9.
