Expert warns of ‘innocent casualties’

PHARMACISTS were warned yesterday they were fighting a battle in a war they had lost and there would be “innocent casualties” if it continued to the bitter end.

The warning was given by Sean Dorgan, who chaired the independent body set up to examine pharmacy pricing.

“One of the distressing things over the last week is the way in which the old, the vulnerable and the sick have been used to try and defend what is actually indefensible,” he said.
