Cowen told nation wants rid of him
Enda Kenny ridiculed Mr Cowen’s claim that the electorate was only angry because the Government had been brave enough to take tough choices as the Fine Gael leader insisted voters were appalled at the Taoiseach’s wrong choices.
Labour’s Eamon Gilmore waded into the fray demanding the Taoiseach faced up to his responsibilities because his mandate had now been blown away by the economic crash.
