Voters urged to turn anger to action

SINN FÉIN supporters have been urged to transfer their votes to parties “who share in the broad republican tradition” but Gerry Adams refused to specify which parties they should give preferences to.

Voters urged to turn anger to action

Mr Adams said his focus was to get as many votes as possible for his party and if people want Fianna Fáil out of power, they should vote for Sinn Féin.

Speaking at the party’s last conference before the elections, Mr Adams said: “There is, very clearly, anger out there. You’ve heard this a million times. When all is said and done, Friday is the people’s day and we’re asking people to turn their anger into action and to vote for Sinn Féin. If people want Fianna Fáil out, they have to put Sinn Féin in.”
