Adams denies SF ‘milked’ expenses

SINN FÉIN president Gerry Adams denied that his party “milked” the expenses system in Westminster.

Mr Adams was speaking at the launch of Sinn Féin’s European election manifesto, in which the party argues for reform of the expenses system for members of the European Parliament.

Asked how his party could do this with a straight face after revelations about the expenses it claimed in Westminster, Mr Adams insisted Sinn Féin had made “no self-gain”.
