THE Green Party has attempted to distance itself from its Government partners ahead of next month’s local elections telling voters to look at the record of their local councillors and not that of Fianna Fáil.

Responding to the latest opinion poll showing satisfaction with the Government at a record low of 10%, Green leader and Environment Minister, John Gormley, said people should not be “irrational” with their anger.

He also refused to rule out entering a Government with Fine Gael should a general election be called in the near future.
