‘Customer response has been excellent’

TESCO Ireland has reason to be smug about its latest price campaign.

A spokesman said: “It is too early for scientific analysis but the general customer response has been excellent.”

Since last Tuesday, its 11 stores in the border counties have been selling thousands of products at less than the other stores after it was decided to source them directly and therefore at a lower cost.
