TYCOON Denis O’Brien believes the Moriarty Tribunal suppressed a legal document in a “sinister” attempt to hide flaws in its preliminary findings.

The document, reported on yesterday, suggested former minister for communications Michael Lowry acted on official legal instruction before deciding to grant a mobile phone licence to ESAT.

This conflicts with allegations he or others in the department had manipulated the licence process to allow for increased investment by Dermot Desmond as part of the deal.
