Health service staff to seek compensation over loss of earnings
The Irish Nurses Organisation (INO) and SIPTU are preparing a claim to the court over the loss of night-time allowances and on-call payments to nurses, ambulance emergency technicians and X-ray personnel at the two hospitals.
Mary Fogarty, regional industrial relations officer for the INO, said their members working in A&E at Nenagh and Ennis hospitals will lose out on the 25% night-time allowance.
