Help at hand for unemployed

AS jobless numbers in the mid-west soared past 30,000 last month, an information day has been organised for the benefit of those who are out of work.

Help at hand for unemployed

The March 27 event will show those who affected by layoffs and redundancies the opportunities that are available and how they can avail of education, training and entrepreneurship.

Tús Nua, a group set up last year, has organised the help day, which is free of charge and will be held in Thomond Park. A number of organisations, including Limerick IT, Enterprise Ireland and local employment services, VEC, Fás and DSFA will attend the event.
