‘Drugs crisis must be given same priority as road safety’

FAMILIES affected by drugs have called for the drugs crisis to be given the same priority as road safety.

Support groups said there was a “huge risk” the drugs problem could worsen further with the economic recession and warned against cutting funding for drug services.

Up to a thousand people gathered at the Spire on Dublin’s O’Connell Street for a vigil procession last night.
