‘Flushing money down the toilet’ with €39k superloo

A COUNCILLOR wants to “decommission” a superloo because the €39,000 facility is generating just €2,000 a year and is “like flushing money down the toilet.”

That’s the claim made by Sinn Féin Cllr Cionnaith Ó Súilleabháin, after it was revealed it will cost Clonakilty Town Council a staggering €39,000 to operate the superloo next year.

Town council officials have stated they generate around €2,000 in annual income from the toilet.
