FG recapitalisation call ‘noise in the background’

THE Government has dismissed Fine Gael’s call to recapitalise the banks as “noise in the background”.

Fine Gael has heavily criticised what it terms the Government’s “wait and see” approach to the issue.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny and deputy leader Richard Bruton have said recapitalisation is essential so banks can keep much-needed credit lines open for small businesses.
