The word is meh — denoting that which is unimpressive and mediocre and is probably more commonly used in TV comic strips than anywhere else.

It has been defined as the verbal equivalent of a shrug of the shoulders, but it’s closer to what Stone Age communicative grunts and utterances must have been like.
