Changes to senior garda ranks in southern region

GARDA Commissioner Fachtna Murphy has made changes in senior ranks of the force in the southern region.

Kevin Ludlow, a native of Co Tipperary, has been appointed assistant commissioner for the region, taking over from Ray McAndrew, who recently retired.

He will be based in regional headquarters in Anglesea Street, Cork.
