USUALLY when the opposition labels something a fiasco, Government TDs are sure to disagree.

This week, it’s different, however. For once, they are in agreement: The Government has made a right mess in deciding to remove the automatic entitlement to medical cards for the over 70s.

But then, this whole policy area has been something of a fiasco right from the beginning.
