Student finance advice website gets 100,000 hits

TENS of thousands of students and their families have turned to a new website for advice on grant applications and other college finance issues.

The student finance site has received more than 100,000 visits since being launched by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) in January.

But 27,000 of those visits were made in the past month alone, indicating the particular benefit of the site to prospective third-level students as they awaited news of college course offers from the Central Applications Office (CAO) last Monday.
