Man appears on gun charge
Christopher Curtin, aged 38, of Salvia Court, Southill is charged with possessing a semi-automatic shotgun with intent to endanger life and also having 13 cartridges.
The charges arise from a shooting which occurred on May 31 at Lilac Court, Southill in which a girl aged six received pellet wounds to the leg.
Judge Eamonn O’Brien said he was refusing bail because of garda concerns and the seriousness of the charge.
As he was led from court, Curtin shouted: “You are nothing but a moppet of a judge. This is nothing but a kangaroo court.”
His uncle, Eric Curtin, 44 of Hillview Drive, Kilteely, was before the court charged with possession of a semi automatic gun on May 31.
