Ahern in talks over memoirs

FORMER taoiseach Bertie Ahern is in negotiation with book publishers to write his memoirs.

Fianna Fáil yesterday confirmed that Mr Ahern had been approached after stepping down as taoiseach last May.

“When Mr Ahern resigned, he was approached by a number of publishers. No decision has been made as to which one he will sign up to as negotiations with each are still ongoing,” a spokesman said.
