Intercity rail fares slashed by up to 50%

FUEL prices may be going through the roof, but there’s some cheer for the public with news that Iarnród Éireann is slashing its prices.

The company is hoping to lure “browned-off motorists” out of their cars and into its trains, by dropping the price of Intercity services by up to 50%

A spokesman said thousands of discounted seats will be available from Mondays to Thursdays across a range of routes.
