Gardaí examine seized pistol

GARDA forensic experts are examining a Glock pistol which was seized in a Cork suburb to see if it has been fired during any serious crime.

The pistol was seized by gardaí, who during the same operation arrested a 30-year-old man and a 15-year-old youth.

The German-made pistol, which is standard issue for US military personnel, has been used by feuding gangs in Ireland before.
