AIB silent on details of dumped files
Amid growing concern about the possibility of bank customers’ personal details being contained in the material unearthed during excavation work on Thursday, AIB bank moved quickly to quell fears of potential identity theft by stating that most of the material found on the site was either shredded or deteriorated with age.
The company said it would “not be possible to comment further on the nature of that material” until its examination is complete.
