Spillane says Rebels are still a force despite final mauling

FROM the outside looking in, you imagine it must be very difficult for the Cork footballers facing up to Kerry in Sunday’s Munster final considering the happenings in Croke Park last September and their ever growing injuries concerns.

But, of course, that’s what sport is all about, facing up to challenges no matter how insurmountable they may appear.

That’s certainly what drives Rebel centre-back Ger Spillane, now in his third season with the team after taking a while to make the breakthrough from winning All-Ireland junior sides in 2001and 2005.
