MANAGEMENT at the Port of Cork will have to wait a little longer to find out if they can proceed with a new €226 million container terminal, after An Bord Pleanála postponed a decision due yesterday.

A spokesman for the appeals body said because of the sheer volume of information obtained during a marathon oral hearing last April, it had been unable to meet the June 3 deadline.

“Additional time is needed to consider it. The decision has been put back to June 24,” the spokesman said.
