Holiday drivers urged to slow down

SLOW down — that’s the message to drivers on Kerry roads during this June bank holiday weekend.

Kerry Co Council and gardaí have jointly launched a road safety campaign to target speeding on the county’s roads which, in the past two years, claimed 35 lives and led to 91 people being seriously injured.

Council staff and gardaí will distribute leaflets and talk with drivers at checkpoints throughout the county over the weekend.
