Kenny calls Cowen a control freak

TAOISEACH Brian Cowen has been described as a control freak by his opponent Enda Kenny, who added the only thing he can’t control is himself.

The Fine Gael leader said Mr Cowen was “the direct opposite” to his predecessor, Bertie Ahern, in the way he managed himself and his party.

Mr Kenny was responding to Mr Cowen’s use of the F-word in the Dáil last week and his warning to the opposition that he would “organise it” that the FG party would be shouted down if they continued to shout down Fine Fáil during leader’s question time. Mr Cowen claims he was interrupted 44 times as he tried to answer questions during a heated Dáil debate.
