Kenny: Lisbon no campaigners using scare tactics

FINE GAEL leader Enda Kenny yesterday accused campaigners for a no vote to the Lisbon treaty of engaging in scare tactics.

He told the National Forum on Europe that some anti-treaty groups were telling voters a yes result would lead to Chinese-style limits on the size of Irish families.

Mr Kenny attacked claims the treaty would lead to conscription in the Republic for a European army and a reform of the abortion laws.
