IRELAND faces a 40% decline in the supply of good drinking water, an expert warned yesterday.

Dr Conor Murphy said this was one of the many implications for our economy and society if we do not address the effects climate change is having on our water supply.

He was speaking at the annual Engineers Ireland Conference in Limerick.
