Ahern ‘would have given me instructions’ when lodging money

Earlier, Ms Carruth had accepted she lodged the Irish currency equivalent of stg£15,500 to three accounts in the Irish Permanent Building Society (IPBS) in Mr Ahern’s name and those of his daughters Cecelia and Georgina between March and October 1994.

She said she accepted this after seeing the documentation, having previously insisted she only lodged money to the Ahern girls’ accounts.
