Regulations promote basic right of care

THE 32 standards, which are grouped into seven sections, make it clear that older people areentitled to a safe, caring and respectful environment.

While all the standards apply to dementia-specific residential care units, they must also meet specific criteria, so residents can live the fullest lives possible.
