Pupils strike gold to win top school prize
The Irish Aid Our World Global Schools’ Awards saw 12,666 third, fourth, fifth and sixth class pupils from 460 schools produce 1,450 projects on the theme of poverty and all its causes, effects and solutions. The Irish Examiner is the media sponsor of the awards.
Entries ranged from comics and crafts to songwriting, poster displays, dramatisations and dvd presentations but it was a scrapbook project from Clonburris National School, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 that took the overall honours.
