A CLEAR majority of air traffic controllers have voted in favour of industrial action in a dispute that grounded a number of flights at Shannon Airport at the weekend.

Members of IMPACT’s air traffic controllers branch voted by a majority of 99% in favour of industrial action over the weekend.

On Saturday night, a dozen flights were cancelled at Shannon Airport after controllers again refused to work overtime.
