They don’t do glamour and fashion at the National Coursing meeting in Clonmel. A-list celebs are few and far between, corporate entertainment isn’t high on the list of priorities, but most patrons would tell you it’s all the better for that. Those hats beloved of the beautiful people at the Galway Races wouldn’t work too well on a windswept February morning anyway.

Ask anyone what brings people back in droves, year after year, and they’ll talk about the people, the friendliness, the welcome they get in Clonmel.
