Petrol station had secret underground tank with laundered diesel

A CO DONEGAL filling station raided by Customs officials was found to have a secret underground tank with laundered diesel, it emerged yesterday.

A man was also found filling the tank from a lorry tanker disguised as carrying bags of peat moss.

The vehicle, adapted to carry 4,500 litres of fuel, was seized by Customs officials and removed from the premises, which are located in east Co Donegal.
