Maths solution helping industry

A WEEK-LONG brainstorming session got under way at the University of Limerick yesterday, with a group of international mathematicians helping top industries come up with solutions to production problems.

The 62nd European Study Group with Industry is taking place for the first time in this country.

Mathematicians from Britain, Brazil, Russia, Romania, France, Austria, Finland and Denmark are taking part.
