Treason remark ‘out of line’

FIANNA FÁIL TD Mary O’Rourke has been advised to consult a dictionary by Fine Gael after she accused Enda Kenny of an “act of treason”.

In the ongoing war of words over the timing of Mr Kenny’s statement last weekend calling for the Taoiseach’s resignation, Ms O’Rourke yesterday accused the Fine Gael leader of committing a “disloyal, treasonous act”.

But a spokesman for Fine Gael fired back, labelling her statement the “most stupid political comment I’ve heard in 10 years”.
