POLICE in Spain have launched a massive hunt for an Irish teen who went missing there on New Year’s Day after babysitting for family friends.

Amy Fitzpatrick, 15, disappeared after leaving their house to walk back to her nearby Costa del Sol home around 10pm on January 1. Civil Guard officers spent yesterday searching waste ground in the tourist resort of Riviera del Sol near Fuengirola close to the route she would have taken.

Police have also quizzed school friends living in the area.
