Gardaí turn to Katy’s mobile phone records

GARDAÍ are expected to question friends and associates of Katy French over the coming days, as well as accessing her mobile phone records, in a bid to reconstruct her movements just before she fell into a coma.

Preliminary details on her cause of death are being withheld by gardaí but unconfirmed reports say she died of brain damage after suffering what were thought to be cocaine-induced seizures.

Meanwhile, efforts to cut drugs supply are being stepped up, with the Garda chief issuing a warning to dealers while politicians have called for random drug searches of pub and club goers.
