HSE: We are not housing evictees

THE Health Service Executive (HSE) yesterday attacked Limerick politicians for accusing them of housing people who have been evicted from council estates.

A HSE spokesman said not one person who was the subject of an eviction order in Limerick city had been given a rent supplement by the executive to move into the private rented market.

He said: “There are no persons currently in receipt of rent allowance who have been evicted by Limerick City Council.”
