Father lends daughter €3k for breast enlargement

EVA WARREN was so unhappy with her figure that her father agreed to pay half the price of a breast augmentation procedure.

The procedure cost €6,000 — her father gave her €3,000 and she saved the rest.

Eva said her father decided to help her pay for the surgery rather than have her get into debt.

It is quite unusual for parents, especially fathers, to pay for their daughter to have a breast augmentation.

A spokesperson for Cosmedico Cosmetic Surgery in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow, which treated her, said most people in Eva’s position took out personal loans to pay for the procedure.

Eva, 24, a sales representative from Tallaght in Dublin, said she was unhappy that her chest size was not in proportion with the rest of her body.

“I am quite tall and not really skinny. I am curvaceous and just never felt in proportion,” said Eva, who had the breast augmentation about a year ago.

Eva loves clothes but found she had to use mini silicone bra pads to artificially increase her size 34B breast size. She decided to have surgery two years ago but needed time to save and find the right clinic.

While Eva, who has two older brothers, is a very confident young woman, her parents realised that her breast size really mattered to her.

“I was always giving out at home about my breast size so my parents were aware that I was unhappy,” she said.

“When I approached my mam, she was completely supportive and when I approached my dad he knew that I had been thinking about it for a few years, that I had researched the procedure and knew what I was getting into.”

Eva said she would have borrowed the money if her father had not offered the €3,000. “I really wanted to have the surgery because I never felt like a proper woman.”

The breast augmentation meant that Eva increased her breast size to 34D/DD and she continues to be happy with the result.

“It was only when I turned 18 that I began to be concerned about my breast size. No one noticed because I always gave the illusion that I had a bigger chest,” she said.

Eva said she chose Cosmedico because she was happy with the initial consultation, which her mother also attended with her.

“I can say a year later that I am 110% satisfied with my figure. It was well worth it,” she said.
