Garda on trial over documents leaked to media

A GARDA charged with leaking official documents to a journalist was sent forward to trial yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Robert McNulty was remanded on continuing bail until the case comes before the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, expected to take around six months.

The 48-year-old garda, from Rathfarnham, south Dublin, has been charged with disclosing the contents of a draft report of an official investigation into the death of Dean Lyons.
