AA warning ahead of winter

THE AA is warning motorists to be ready for the foul conditions of an Irish winter — but snow is not the biggest problem.

The AA attends to 160,000 breakdowns annually and the rescue service is at its busiest in winter.

Morning cold starts and weak batteries will see thousands of motorists getting into difficulties.
