Nursing home refund costs cap unchanged

THE independent company overseeing the extensive nursing home refunds scheme yesterday insisted administration costs remain capped at €15 million.

Following a parliamentary response from the Department of Health that suggested administration costs could run to €23m, KPMG and McCann Fitzgerald said under terms agreed with the Health Service Executive (HSE), costs are capped at €15m.

To date, fees of 1m have been paid to it for administrating the scheme.
