Armed gang net ‘substantial’ amount in ATM van raid

AN ARMED gang escaped with substantial cash after raiding a cash-in-transit van yesterday.

Shortly before 7am at the Statoil station on the Ballymun Road, staff in a van making a delivery to an ATM were confronted by three men.

The three had arrived on motorbikes. One man stepped up to a security man getting out of the Group Four Securicor van.
