Man loses €10,000 in Spanish lottery scam

A MAN was duped into parting with €10,000 after falling victim to a Spanish lottery sting circulating Ireland, it emerged yesterday.

The cheats wrote to the man at random and told him he had won €615,810, asking him to pay a ‘release fee’ to get the cheque.

On contacting the senders, the man handed over €10,000 but received nothing in return.
